The twentieth century has produced numerous number of fine wordsmiths in the English language. However Ernest Hemingway is heads and shoulders above the other twentieth century authors in view of his international exposure, his short declarative and brief style of writing and his charisma which made him a cult figure, non only in America but also in Cuba, France, Spain. His wide variety remains unmatched and even his unfinished works which have been published posthumously, have become bestsellers, testifying to the abiding interest shown by readers in Hemingway.
